Nepal Trekking FAQs
What is the best time to trek in Nepal?
October–November and March–May offer the most stable weather and clearest mountain views. Winter treks work well at lower altitude, and rain-shadow regions like Upper Mustang and Dolpo are ideal during the monsoon.
Do I need permits to trek in Nepal?
Yes — most treks need a TIMS card and a national park or conservation-area permit. Restricted areas such as Manaslu, Tsum Valley and Upper Mustang also require a special permit and a licensed guide. We arrange every permit for you before departure.
How fit do I need to be?
If you can comfortably walk 5–6 hours a day, you can complete most classic treks. Challenging routes like the Three Passes or Manaslu Circuit reward a few months of cardio preparation. Every trip page lists its difficulty grade.
Can beginners trek to Everest Base Camp?
Absolutely — EBC is a non-technical walk with gradual acclimatisation built into our 14-day itinerary. First-timers finish it every season with our guides.
What is included in the trip price?
Permits, licensed English-speaking guide, accommodation on the trail, three meals a day while trekking, ground transport and airport transfers. Each trip page lists exact inclusions and exclusions.
